A photo and a receipt turn a line item into proof. Insured lets you attach both to any item.
Add a photo or receipt
- Open an item and tap Add photo or Add receipt.
- Take a new picture or pick one from your library. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF, up to 8 MB each.
- Insured automatically shrinks large images for fast loading and lower storage — receipts keep their full shape so the text stays readable.
Tips for claim-ready photos
- Capture the whole item, then a close-up of any serial or model label.
- Photograph the receipt flat and in good light.
- The first product photo on an item becomes its thumbnail on a Home Inventory Report.
Photos and receipts are private to your account and stored with your inventory. Deleting an item or your account removes them — see Delete your Insured account or data.
