Add hydrants from the Fire Hydrants module — choose Add Fire Hydrant. Each hydrant gets an auto-generated Hydrant ID.
What you can record
- Status — In Service or Out Of Service.
- General info — size (2.5 to 8 inch), type (Dry Barrel or Wet Barrel), manufacturer, ownership, and water source.
- Flow rates — gallons per minute (GPM), flow pressure, and static pressure.
- Location — latitude and longitude are required; click the map to drop the pin and the coordinates fill in automatically. Street address fields are optional.
- Tags and assignment — tag hydrants and optionally assign them to an employee.
To change a hydrant later, open it from the list or map and edit. Deleting a hydrant asks for confirmation first. If you have many hydrants to enter, use the importer instead — see Importing your hydrant data.
