A Home Inventory Report is a dated, verifiable snapshot of what you own — the document you hand an insurer or adjuster after a loss.
Build a report
- Open Reports and tap Build a report.
- Pick a property (or your primary home).
- Choose the items to include — leave everything selected to report your whole inventory, or pick specific items.
- Insured freezes that selection into an immutable report with its own number (for example
INS-1234-A), totaling both current and replacement value.
Why it is trustworthy
The report is a snapshot: it captures each item’s details and primary photo at the moment you issue it. Editing or deleting an item afterward never changes a report an insurer already holds.
Cost and the PDF
Each report carries a per-report fee on every plan (issuing reports is not bundled with Premium). On insured.firedash.us the Report Builder sends you to Stripe Checkout and adds one report credit when the payment clears; in the apps the same credit is bought through the App Store or Google Play. A credit is spent only when a report is actually issued. You are never charged without being asked: the Report Builder shows the price and a Buy button when a payment is due, and Generate report when nothing is owed on your account. After purchase you can download the official PDF and share the report number for verification — see Share and verify a Home Inventory Report.
Insured reports reflect the values you entered yourself. They confirm what you documented and when — they are not an independent appraisal.
