FireDash includes a built-in importer so you can bring your existing data with you. You can import fire hydrants, hydrant inspections, maintenance records, hydrant notes, employees, and scheduled tasks.
How to import
- Open Import Data in the hub and pick what you are importing.
- Upload a CSV or TXT file (comma, tab, pipe, and semicolon delimiters are supported — a header row is required), or a .fdarchive backup to restore.
- Use the Download template button if you want a ready-made file layout.
- Map your columns to FireDash fields — the smart matcher pre-selects likely matches, and Auto-map all fills in the rest. Check Remember these mappings to reuse them next time.
- Review the row-by-row preview, confirm, and read the result summary. Any rows with problems are listed individually so you can fix and re-import just those.
