Privacy and your data

What FireDash stores, who can see it, and the controls you have.

A short, practical summary. The controlling document is the FireDash Privacy Policy.

What we store

  • Account details — your name, email, and (for residents) the property address you choose to save.
  • Content you create — hydrant records, inspections, reports, inventory items, photos, and certificates.
  • Support — tickets you open and the messages on them.

Who can see it

  • Your organization’s data is visible to users on that organization’s account, according to their role.
  • A resident hydrant problem report goes to the agency responsible for that hydrant — that is the point of filing it.
  • A certificate is visible to whoever you give it to, and to anyone who verifies its number. Verification shows the certificate’s own facts, not your account.
  • We do not sell personal data.

Your controls

A note on hydrant data

Hydrant records may come from an agency, a public source, or a resident contribution. Provenance is recorded and shown, and resident-contributed records are never presented as agency-verified.
