Residents FireDash for Residents

Reporting a hydrant problem

File a report in a guided four-step wizard — your fire department is notified.

Residents can report a damaged, leaking, or obstructed hydrant in a guided four-step wizard. Your local fire department sees the report in their FireDash dashboard.

Report a problem

  • Sign in at resident.firedash.us and choose Report an issue, or use the Report button on any hydrant page.
  • Step 1 — Which hydrant? Pick from the hydrants closest to your saved address, or find the hydrant on the map first.
  • Step 2 — What’s wrong? Choose the closest match: Broken, Leaking, Obstruction, Paint is Peeling, or Other.
  • Step 3 — Tell us more. Describe what you saw, mark it Critical or Standard, and choose whether the department may contact you.
  • Step 4 — Confirmation. You will see “Report submitted” once the department has been notified.

If you already reported that hydrant, we tell you it is still in the department’s queue instead of filing a duplicate. Track progress from your Activity page — see Track your reports and activity.
