Anyone who receives a FireDash certificate — an insurer, lender, agent, adjuster, or agency — can confirm it is genuine and unaltered at verify.firedash.us, free and without an account.
What you can verify
- FD- — an Insurance Distance Proof: the distance from a property to its nearest fire hydrant.
- RD- — a RiskDash risk-assessment report.
- WD- — a Water Supply Adequacy Certificate from WaterDash.
- INS- — a Home Inventory Report from FireDash Insured.
How to verify
- Go to verify.firedash.us and enter the certificate number printed on the document (for example FD-A1B2C3D4E5F6 or WD-A1B2C3D4E5F6).
- Enter your name and email so the certificate holder has a record of who checked it (a company website is optional).
- FireDash recomputes a tamper-evident integrity hash from the record on file and shows whether the certificate is genuine and unchanged, along with its key details and issue date.
Reading the result
- Verified — the document matches the record on file exactly.
- Altered — the number exists but the details do not match what was issued.
- Revoked — the certificate was withdrawn and should not be relied on.
- Not found — no certificate with that number; re-enter it exactly as printed.
Every check is logged. Where a certificate includes resident-contributed data, the provenance is shown on the certificate itself — see FireDash certificate types explained. Programmatic checks are available at verify.firedash.us/api.php.
